Updates for Junior Thespian Troupes and Middle School Theatre Teachers

• We are just over a month out from our registration deadline. Thespys must be registered in the system by November 17th.

• However, to allow a little extra time for our students to prepare and film their Thespys, you can upload their video to the registration system up until December 1st, as long as it was registered by November 17th.

• After you register a student for a Thespy, you can leave the site and come back later to upload the video.

• Please note: Students may elect to compete in up to two Thespys, as long as they are from different categories. For duet/group Thespys, all students must be from the same school/troupe.

• The schedule for our first Junior Thespian Festival is on the website www.MarylandThespians.org/schedule. The Junior Festival is Thursday only.

• Schools will need to bring their own lunches. (Tip: most school cafeterias / food services can do bag lunches for Field Trips, if you give them enough notice!)

• We will have a session for Troupe Events, including things like Trash Costumes, Speed Charades etc. but they will not be registered through the system like we do for High School. We will send out more information once we have attendee numbers etc.

• Middle School and High School registration is separate this year. If you are responsible for both, you will need two different registration accounts with two different emails. (If your current account is the wrong type, it will need to be changed on the back-end; just let us know and we can help.) info@marylandthespians.org
