Reminder: Pre-Registration Meetings

Troupe Directors must attend one of them before we will open registration for that school. Here are the links to the three dates/times:

  • August 21st - 7pm

  • August 23rd - 9am

  • August 26th - 7pm

*If you are not able to make one of the meetings above, please contact us before September 2nd to schedule a one-on-one meeting.
 

Camp Thespis

  • A one day leadership workshop run by STOs to help troupe leaders / crew heads gain experience, ideas and see how other troupes run things.

  • September 20th, 9am-4pm

  • Howard High School

  • Students Register by September 8th

  • $25 per student (includes box lunch from Subway - sandwich or salad)
 

Tentative Festival Deadlines:

  • Festival Dates: January 23-24, 2026

  • Registration Opens: September 2, 2025

  • One Act Proposal Submissions Due: October 1, 2025

  • Mainstage Adjudication Applications Due: October 1, 2025

  • Lottery for One Acts Complete by: October 8, 2025

  • Registration Closes: November 14, 2025

  • All Thespys (including Tech) must also register in the Open Water system by November 14, 2025

  • Thespy Video Submissions Due: November 21, 2025

    • Tech Thespys will continue to be LIVE at the festival (but still need to be registered in Open Water by November 14, 2025)

  • Senior Thespian Scholarship Applications Due: November 21, 2025

  • MainStage Adjudications concludes: December 1st, 2025

  • MainStage Invitation: December 5th, 2025
 

Areas we need help in:

Please contact us if you have any questions, or if you have an interest in helping out!  Not all parts of festival require you to be on the Board and to attend Monthly meetings etc.

  • Recruiting Adjudicators (local theatre professionals and college faculty)

  • Registration / Festival Logistics

  • Supervising Troupe Events (Trash Costumes, Trivia etc.)

  • JR Festival Committee
