Hello All,

A couple of updates:

• Registration closes Friday night, and we are very close to conference capacity. There has been a glitch in the capacity limit feature of the registration software, so we are having to manually turn registration on and off. If you run into any issues in the next 24 hours, please email info@marylandthespians.org for assistance. You should still be able to register events etc.

• Once everything in your registration is completed, you click “Proceed to payment”, and either pay by credit card or indicate your intent to pay by check. Please note that once completed, you are committed to paying that amount and will be billed for everything registered at that point, regardless of unforeseen circumstances. In an emergency, we can sometimes accommodate substitutions, but not cancellations or refunds.

• Please have checks postmarked NLT November 22, if at all possible. If you are looking for your invoice(s), use the drop-down menu under your account email address (top right) and click on "Your invoices".

Thespys

PLEASE READ these instructions for entering your students’ Thespys into the OpenWater system.

All Thespys - including Technical Thespys - must be entered in the OpenWater system by December 6th.

Most Thespys, including performance Thespys, playwriting, short film etc. will need either a file to be uploaded or a link to a publicly hosted video etc.

The majority of Technical Thespys just need the information entered in the system - they will be adjudicated in-person at festival.

All-State Closing Number

• Please make sure any students interested in the All-State Closing Number apply with this Google Form by Wednesday November 27th.

• There will be a preliminary Google Meet held on Monday, December 2nd at 7pm and students will then have until December 6th to upload their audition video (same deadline as Thespys).

  Teaching Artist and Choreographer, Quae Simpson, will be making all casting decisions. Cast size will be approximately 20-25 persons. There will we virtual rehearsals before the festival and then up to 3 workshop sessions during the festival. (This will be a significant time commitment at festival, so please be sure your students are aware :)

JUNIOR Thespian Festival

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the JUNIOR Thespian Festival, to be held at Bullis School on Saturday, February 8th.

Please spread the word to our Middle School colleagues. Registration for Thespys is not open yet, you you can start adding students!
