It's one of the best offerings at Festival for our students and guests alike, and a rare opportunity to recruit the talent of tomorrow. Join us and experience the benefits of highlighting your theatre school and/or program to the next generation of theatre artists.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN 2018
We're looking for representation from the best and most existing theatre programs from across the state and/or region to join us for the two day long Maryland State Thespian Festival. You'll gain access to future applicants/theatre students by serving as an adjudicator for both the Festival's Individual Events and the Junior College Auditions where Juniors from across the state present a brief audition/portfolio review for hopes of admission to an institution of advanced study. Representatives from colleges and universities will also be offered the opportunity to rent table space at our College/University Fair (rental charges apply).
In addition to an experience unlike any other and the ability to share in the joy and excitement of some of the most talented students in Maryland, Maryland Thespians is honored to provide a hospitality room for all guest artists and college/university representatives. Lunch will also be provided for each day in attendance. Furthermore, stipends are offered as follows:
Friday & Saturday (workshop facilitation & adjudication as assigned): $300.00
Saturday (workshop facilitation & adjudication as assigned): $150.00
Please note, each guest artist/adjudicator may be required to facilitate three (3) - four (4) workshop sessions and adjudicate two individual event sessions for each day of festival attended.
For maximum effectiveness and impact, colleges and universiites should plan to be available for as much of the festival as possible.
Friday & Saturday: Workshops, Individual Events, and Junior College Auditions are scheduled throughout the festival from 8:30 - 7:00pm. The College/University Fair runs concurrently with all programming.
