ONE ACT FESTIVAL

PERFORMANCE VENUES

Ruth Marder Theatre

Backstage Director: Heather McFadden

Stage Dimensions:  40 feet wide by 20 feet deep. Curtains surround all three sides providing entrances and exits from all positions.

Storage Area:  Props and set pieces will be stored in the scene shop, this is your collection point.  There is a garage door that seperates the theater and the scene shop (which is only controlled by Towson Facilities).  You will load your show on to the stage from the scene shop and then return your materials back to your collection point after you present.

Lighting: Left, center and right washes are available. In addition, there will be a full, amber, and blue wash.

the Studio Theatre

Backstage Director: Derek Anderson

Stage Dimensions:  40 feet wide by 20 feet deep. Curtains surround all three sides providing entrances and exits from all positions.

Storage Area:  Props and set pieces will be stored in the back of the theatre, this is your collection point.  There is a curtain that seperates the theater acting space and the storage space.  You will load your show on to the stage from the scene shop and then return your materials back to your collection point after you present.

Lighting: Left, center and right washes are available. In addition, there will be a full, amber, and blue wash.

the MAIN STAGE Theatre

Backstage Director: Allen Price

Stage Dimensions:  40 feet wide by 20 feet deep.  While the stage actually extends further back, there will be a static curtain hung at 20 feet from the proscenium to make the playing space similar to that of the other spaces.

Storage Area:  Props and set pieces will be stored behind the static curtain hung at 20 feet from the proscenium. This is your collection point. You will load your show on to the stage from behind the curtain and then return your materials back to your collection point after you present.

Lighting: Left, center and right washes are available. In addition, there will be a full, amber, and blue wash.

Important Note:  There is an apron built into the Main Stage and it will not be lit. Again, this is to ensure a similar performance space in relation to the Ruth Marder Theatre and the Studio Theatre.

MATERIALS AVAILABLE FOR ALL PERFORMANCE VENUES

There will be 4 chairs, 4 blocks, 1 table, and 1 bench which you can use in any configuration.
